Today myself, Alex and Rupert went to a local classic and custom car show at the Centennial College, Ashtonbee Campus. It was such a great experience to go to, we were invited by one of our teachers. It was great to be invited and get to experience a car show over here. As we got to speak to people representing companies over here and just the local enthusiasts, the two were very different people but everyone there shared one interest which was a love for all things cars. From JDM imports that were standard to ones that were fully custom and had a full air kit, to loud American v8 mustang’s, purpose-built race cars, ex public transport busses with massive engines to race trucks. It was all things cars with raffles for car photo shoots and tool kits. All donated because everyone there just wanted to help each other out and share their common interests in cars and engines. My personal favourite was an original Carroll Shelby 480 horsepower, super charged V8. Which alone is worth millions as they started production just before he died. Carrol Shelby built race cars with ford to win races like the 24 hours of le man and together they produced cars like the mustang GT40 and the ford GT which has the same shell and chassis as the car that they built that won le man for 6 years in a row to de-thrown Ferrari who had the race in the bag for so many years. But that was just one of the many cars that I loved to see, we don’t see these cars in the United Kingdom very often as they were never offered to the British market or most of the European market. - Connor Gibb
Toronto Wildlife Centre which is the only wildlife center in all of Toronto. We unfortunately were not able to get a behind the scenes tour but there were three observation windows in the back of the center, one had a view into the operating room, there were no operations being performed but it was really interesting to be able to see the set up and how it was different to the set-up of some of the operating rooms I have seen in Scotland. Then next room was a room that some animals are rehabilitated in and currently there was no animals, however lucky window three was a one-way mirror into a care room where there was pigeon's, orphaned racoons and orphaned opossums where being feed and cared for. TNR Course – Trap-Neuter and return. I gained my qualification to legally be able care for, feed , T-N-R my own feral cat colony in Toronto, allowing me to trap them and take them to Toronto humane society (where I visited on Thursday 25 th ) to get neuter and rerelease them back in t...
